With all our fascination about alien life and the mysteries of the universe we can forget that there are many hidden worlds right under our noses. So this posting is just a small taste of some of the photography of Steve Gschmeissner, a retired scientific photographer who uses a Scanning Electron Microscope to magnify bugs, leaves, particles and elements of our bodies. His images open doors to a whole new world.
The images are available at Barcroft Media (search for Steve Gschmeissner).
